This family includes tree squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks, marmots, flying squirrels, and tree squirrels construct nursery nests in hollow trees, abandoned woodpecker cavities, and similar. Chipmunks are found in north america, with the exception of the siberian chipmunk which is found primarily in asia.
